Standards Digital

Standards Digital provide hosted subscription services that help transform businesses and better enable them to succeed in an increasingly digital landscape.

Standards Digital (SD) solutions support the Standards Development lifecycle, from content creation/revision (utilizing Fonto) and public enquiry, through to sales and distribution. Although originally designed and built for Standards Developers, SD’s subscription services have been proven to add value for user groups outside the traditional standards industry.

A subsidiary of Standards Norway, SD was established in 2018 and, with 5 Software as a Service solutions now live, the organization has steadily grown both in terms of its size and its international customer base.
In July 2023 SD proudly became ISO 27001 certified.

Collaboration

Fonto & Standards Digital

SD Authoring is Standard’s Digital’s flagship subscription service and is built around Fonto’s Fonto Editor for XML.

Comprising user, document and project management modules, SD Authoring, using Fonto Editor, provides users with a fully self-contained environment within which to manage their digital standard’s development processes.

With Fonto, authors, editors and contributors can all work collectively and collaboratively in their natural language, using a user-friendly and easy to learn UI, to produce fully compliant NISO STS XML documents.

The SD Authoring solution architecture enables deeper integrations for customers who may require it, but the out-of-the box cloud-based solution offers organisations a quick and simple onboarding experience, enabling users to get started with Fonto Editor for XML in next to no time.

Since its launch in 2018, SD Authoring has evolved together with Fonto, delivering functional and performance improvements to a growing number of satisfied customers.

A recent project between SD and The Norwegian Public Roads Administration, saw them digitize and streamline their processes for developing road standards, through using SD subscription services.
